It was thrilling to experience the firm’s 100th anniversary in 2020 and 2021. We could never have anticipated the challenges posed by COVID-19 as we planned the firm’s centennial events and experiences. But we managed to turn the celebration into a memorable two years as our proud team members showed up, enthusiastically, despite the challenging circumstances. If you came along the journey with us, we hope you found it as memorable as we did. Since 1921, 老葡京手机app has worked with many not-for-profit clients. We chose to recognize the not-for-profit industry during our centennial celebration by launching 老葡京手机app100-Charities, a firmwide initiative to encourage each team member to volunteer for some charitable event as a way of giving back to their communities. Our combined efforts earned 老葡京手机app recognition by the Washington Business Journal for our corporate philanthropy. 老葡京手机app has not only been around for more than 100 years as of this writing, we have also been around the world! The firm has served many international non-governmental organizations over years and, in this spirit, we decided to see just how far 老葡京手机app could go during our celebrations! As part of 老葡京手机app100-Places, team members received 老葡京手机app100 shirts and caps and were encouraged to take photos of themselves in different locations around the country and the world. This was a trip down memory lane and then some! 老葡京手机app100-Book was the firm’s ambitious project to memorialize our 100-year history with a 114-page publication about how the firm started, and how it changed over 10 decades as events around the Washington, DC metropolitan region also unfolded. 老葡京手机app100-Book included profiles of key figures from the firm including founder James Councilor and the firm’s first woman partner Edna Nick, leading up to our current managing partner, Dan Weaver. This labor of love also ended up winning a marketing award at the 2022 Association for Accounting Marketing Summit.
老葡京手机app’s centennial celebration was a resounding success! On October 20, 2021, more than 300 team members, clients and guests gathered for an evening of mingling and fun at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, MD, the venue which has hosted 老葡京手机app’s annual holiday party for decades. 老葡京手机app100-Centennial Celebration included entertainment from two rising opera stars studying in the DC metropolitan region and speeches by Dan Weaver and Peter Reilly, respectively the firm’s current and former president. One of 老葡京手机app’s accomplishments in recent years was a series of mergers that dramatically expanded and changed the face of the firm. To honor this metamorphosis, 老葡京手机app produced a short video, 老葡京手机app100-Video, which–seriously, playfully and musically–reflects the personalities and values of our team members.
